'I will use the time to do a healthy block,' Emma Raducanu confirms opting out of the French Open after not receiving a wildcard to prepare for Wimbledon

Raducanu opted out of the French Open to work on her mental health and prepare fully for her home slam, Wimbledon. Like how she improved her game on the hard courts, she will be hoping to do the same on grass and be as prepared as possible for the tennis summer. 

Emma Raducanu complained of exhaustion after a disappointing result at the Madrid Open

Emma Raducanu had previously played the Madrid Open from a wildcard entry. She was up against Maria Carle in the first round. Despite having the odds in her favor, Raducanu lost in straight sets against the Argentine. 

It was a disappointing run from Raducanu, who had continuously been playing for the last three tournaments. In the interview after the loss, she complained of exhaustion.

The last few weeks have been a lot. Starting from the Billie Jean King Cup, I haven’t stopped. It’s just been back-to-back, and I was very happy being able to help carry the team in the BJK Cup, then straight to Stuttgart with no rest, then straight here and trying to adapt to the conditions which are very different because it’s outdoors and I was playing indoors for the last month . said Emma Raducanu

Raducanu is planning to play more in the tennis summer ahead of her home Slam. Raducanu has won once before and will desperately hope to get another deep run to build on confidence and momentum.
